Rite of Passage

Apparently in order to become a "real woman" every girl must go through a rite of passage doing things like buying snazzy underwear, spending 3 hours at the salon all for one date with some lousy guy, shopping for 5 hours for that perfect outfit for that date with the lousy guy, and dying one's hair. I have just recently passed the test for one of the rites of passage for womanhood, dying my hair. I must say that it was a very very frightening experience which I am not likely to ever repeat. Although it turned out rather well, the anxiety was not worth it at all. My dear friends who were playing beautician kept yelling out things like "Oh no!!" and "holy cow! Is it supposed to do that?" and my personal favorite, "Allison, we have to tell you something, your highlights are bleach blonde. But we think it will be ok when we wash your hair." Yeah, skip this rite of passage ladies!! Be half a woman! It isn't worth it!!!!!
